Frequently Asked Questions
Materials
My jewelry is predominantly made of sterling and fine silver. On occasion, I will use accents of bronze, copper or even gold. All materials are listed in the description of each piece.
I use a large variety of stones in my work. All of my stones are purchased through small businesses where I have a relationship with the owners.
I try my best to pass on the most accurate info I have about each piece.
Customs
I do accept a few custom orders per month. These orders can take up to 4 weeks to complete as they are 100% unique and materials may need to be ordered. There are no returns allowed so please make sure all sizes and details are precise. A deposit of 50% will need to be made before customs can be started.
Please contact me with any custom ideas or questions you may have.
Use & Care
Any lotion, spray or chemical, has the potential to discolor, damage or tarnish jewelry. Certain stones (especially turquoise) can change colors when in contact with these materials as well. Even body oils can naturally change the color of some stones. It’s always best to remove jewelry when coming in contact with anything that might affect the piece, as well as when bathing and showering, washing dishes, etc.
Sterling silver is a metal that naturally tarnishes over time. Salt water, chlorine, etc can speed this process. To prevent this, items can be stored with an anti-tarnish strip. There are also many types of polishing clothes available to remove tarnish. The more a piece is worn, the less it tarnishes due to body oils.
Sizing
I do my best to accurately measure and describe every piece of jewelry that I sell.
Please be sure to take measurements before ordering any ring. Fingers typically change in size a bit due to temperature, salt intake, exercise, etc. Keep this in mind when purchasing rings anywhere. When in doubt, a jewelry store should have the proper tools to measure your fingers. There are also inexpensive ring size guides available on the internet.
When ordering wide bands, it’s always best to go up 1/2 a size.
